FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1 : Do we have to submit the paper submission fees at the time of paper submission or after the paper has been accepted?

Ans :The paper submission fee is the fee paid to review your paper by our panel of experts. This should be paid at the time of submission preferably by a DD or cash. A paper will not be considered for peer review unless accompanied by the requisite paper submission fee. Please download the relevant forms for this purpose. Click on the item Forms in the menu for details.

Q2 : Is the paper submission fee refundable if the paper is not selected?

Ans : NO.

Q3 : How many authors are allowed per paper? Is there a maximum limit for the number of authors.

Ans : NO, as long as all the authors have a significant contribution in The Work.

Q4 : How many papers one author can send?

Ans : No limit.

Q5 : Can the authors be from different colleges or organizations and from different cities

Ans : YES.

Q6 : Can a faculty be a co-author, or is it to be a single author student paper?

Ans :A paper is considered a “Student paper” only if all the authors are students below PhD level. The term “Student” refers only to Undergraduate students and Graduate students pursuing the degree M.E./ M.Tech / M.S / M.Sc / MCA. Ph.D students DO NOT come under this category.

Q7 : Being an Indian student in the US now how much should I pay?

Ans :The term “Indian-resident” is applicable only if all the authors of the paper are currently residents of India.

Q8 : Can two students present a paper together or it should be an individual?

Q9 : Can we submit more than one paper with single submission fee?

Ans :NO, the submission fee is “per paper”.

Q10 : I am submitting a paper electronically, how do I pay the fee.

Ans :While submitting by e-mail, attach the Paper and the Form to the mail. If paying by DD then please provide the DD No. in the Attachment Form. Then, make a hard copy of the attachment form and enclose the DD with this form and send it by surface mail or courier.

Q11 :What is the procedure to submit papers by post?

Ans :If sending by post kindly make two hard copies and a soft copy in a CD and enclose the form in the envelope. If paying by DD then please enclose the DD with the Attachment Form.

Q12 : Can I send the Abstract before the deadline and submit the full-length paper after the deadline.

Ans :NO. Abstracts are not considered for review. Only full-length papers will be accepted. DO NOT send abstracts alone.

Q13: Should the paper submission fee and copy right form be sent with the paper submission or at the time of camera ready paper submission, if accepted.

Ans :The fee and the copyright transfer form should be submitted along with the full-length paper.

Q14: What is meaning of Final / Camera ready paper

Ans: It is the final format of the paper that will be directly reflected in the Conference proceedings. The camera ready paper deadline gives you a window to correct or add more detail from your earlier submission. The camera ready format will be asked if your paper gets selected and if required only.

Q15: In the word template for ICSCI papers below ABSTRACT there are three side heading called Categories and Subject Descriptors, General Terms and Keyword are given. Are the three headings mandatory?

Ans: Kindly use the Paper Template as far as you could. The paper template was given so that your time would be saved in making the camera-ready format, if your paper gets selected. There is no penalty for small mistakes in making the paper and it will not affect the review of your paper. Please refer to the model paper template for clarification of each field in the template. Click on the item Forms in the menu for downloading paper template.doc file.

Q16 : Will selected and presented papers be published in the Conference proceedings.

Ans : YES and only after Registration.

Q17 : What is the difference between Paper Submission Fee and Registration Fee ?

Q19 : Please elaborate on submission fee and registration fee as well as the whole procedure of participation in ICSCI in detail.

Some authors (students and faculty) have been sending queries about the paper submission fee and registration fee for publishing their papers in the proceedings of the ICSCI conferences. In what follows, we would like to provide clarifications about these two and about other details.
PAPER SUBMISSION FEE
Every paper that is sent to us should be accompanied by the respective paper submission fee. This fee for a student paper is Rs. 300/- and for a contributed paper is Rs. 500/-. This fee is nonrefundable and it is used for getting a paper reviewed by a group of people. This fee has to be paid by a DD in favor of PENTAGRAM RESEARCH CENTRE (P) LTD., payable at Hyderabad. One can also pay by cash.

HOW TO SEND A PAPER ?
Prepare your paper using the paper template.doc that is available in the web site. Send a soft copy of the paper by email to the address: icscimail@yahoo.com. Send all the forms duly filled in all respects along with the paper using the same email ID. Please go through the instructions given in web site thoroughly before you attempt to send the paper and the accompanying forms. A hard copy of the paper along with the hard copies of the respective forms and evaluation fee in the DD form to be sent to the following address:

ICSCI-2010
201, VENKAT HOMES, MIGH - 59, MEHDIPATNAM

HYDERABAD - 500 028, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA

WHAT TO DO NEXT ?
Wait for the letter of acceptance. Once your paper is recommended for acceptance by the group of reviewers, you will receive an official communication from the conference chair which you can use for your official transactions with your organization or for VISA purposes or for whatever reasons you have. Then you have to necessarily register for the conference.
REGISTRATION ?
Every paper has to be registered by at least one author so as to enable us to include the paper in the proceedings. The registration for student paper is Rs 3,000/-per author and for a contributed paper is Rs 4,000/- per author. Note that registration fee has nothing to do with paper submission fee. Note that only the registered authors will receive conference proceedings and receive all the benefits of the conference. Hence, other authors of a paper are also encouraged to register so that they can also get proceedings and all the benefits of the conference. Note that the registered students would receive student paper copy of the proceedings and registered contributed authors would receive contributed copy of the proceedings. However, every one would receive both the copies in the soft form in a CD. All the authors would receive paper presentation certificates.
WHO ELSE COULD ALSO REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE ?
All those who are not authors but who wish to participate in the conference can register. Only registered participants will receive proceedings copy (Soft Copy) and all the benefits of the conference. The registration fee for the student participant is Rs 3,000/- and for a non-student participant is Rs 4,000/-. All registered participants are entitled to receive all the benefits that a registered author would receive. They would receive participation certificates.
AFTER REGISTRATION, AN AUTHOR IS NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE, THEN IN WHICH WAY THE REGISTERED AUTHOR WOULD BENEFIT?
All registered authors are required to participate in the conference for all FOUR days. However, if an author is not able to participate due to some genuine reason, he is entitled to receive the entire conference kit consisting of proceedings, CD, and other materials by post. The postal charges have to be met by such author. Alternatively, the author can authorize another person who is attending the conference to receive the conference kit on behalf of him / her. The authorization letter has to be shown to the secretariat so that the kit would be handed over to the authorized person.

WHAT ARE THE MATERIAL BENEFITS ANY REGISTERED AUTHOR WOULD RECEIVE FROM THIS CONFERENCE?

All registered authors and participants would receive the following benefits: (1) Proceedings, (2) Compact Disk, (3) Note Pad, (4) Pen, (5) Conference Bag, (6) Free Snacks for FOUR days, (7) Free Lunch for FOUR days, (8) Free Pass for attending tutorial lectures, (9) Free Pass for attending inaugural and valedictory functions, (10) Free Pass for participating in dinner and other programs by sponsors, (11) Permission to interact with special invitees and guests (depending on their willingness) and (12) many other....

With best wishes,
Dr.  T. D. Bhatt
